Custom Oak Rework:
This is an example of work for a client who wanted continue to convert painted woodwork to stained oak. I had to tear out the handrails and balusters, leaving the newel post. All moulding was custom milled in my shop. Door casings were custom-milled as well, designed to match existing work no longer available in the stores. Job included tearout, milling, installation, and finishing, (stain and blond shellac).
Below are two shots of an on-site stain grade staircase build for a client who added a second floor. The house was VERY small, and there was literally 1/8 – ¼ inch leeway on the layout of the staircase. We had to squeeze everything in to meet the code with virtually no margin for error. It passed inspection with no issues. Client was very satisfied.
